Budbreak and bloom were early in 2014, followed by a warm, sunny summer. This ten row block of Pommard was harvested September 27th. Darker and more sultry than usual, marionberry fruit and lively acidity gives way to a rich finish. A bit of spice and smoke from 40% new French oak. This vintage is drinking really well now.
