Eve's Garden Chardonnay Eve's Garden Chardonnay

2015 Eve's Garden Chardonnay. This is the first offering of Eve's Garden since 2008. Quince and stone fruit from the East Block is balanced by the minerality and citrus character of the North Block. Some second and third filled barrels lend complexity and restraint. Several years in the cellar will optimize this pretty chardonnay.

Inchinnan Pinot Noir 2012 Inchinnan Pinot Noir 2012

The 2012 vintage is the first Inchinnan dominated by the Dijon 114 clone. Depth of color, spice and earth are supported by the usual addition of Wadenswil and Dijon 115. Two barrels from our new Dijon 777 vines are a first time addition. Cadus and Remond barrels bring some cinnamon and graphite to the finish.

Inchinnan Pinot Noir 2014 2014 Inchinnan Pinot Noir

The 2014 vintage is a densely rich version of Inchinnan dominated by the Dijon 114 and Wadenswil clones. Dark ruby in color with blackberry and dark cherry notes. A touch of earthiness wrapped around firm tannins round out the finish. This vintage is really starting to show well.

2014 Mistake Block Pinot Noir 2014 Mistake Block Pinot Noir

Budbreak and bloom were early in 2014, followed by a warm, sunny summer. This ten row block of Pommard was harvested September 27th. Darker and more sultry than usual, marionberry fruit and lively acidity gives way to a rich finish. A bit of spice and smoke from 40% new French oak. This vintage is drinking very nicely now.

2012 Mistake Block Pinot Noir, Pommard 2012 Mistake Block Pinot Noir

The Mistake Block in 2012 was unusually dark, due to the vintage. The flavors reflect blackberry notes, and hints of cocoa with a particularly fine silkiness on the mid-palate. Still drinking nicely.

The 2012 Eve's Garden illustrates an elegant take on a very robust vintage. The core of the blend is the high-toned Dijon 113 and 115, supported by the spicy red fruit of the 667 clone. Subtle use of new oak frames the cuvee.

The 2014 Eve's Garden showcases the vineyard blocks that accentuate red fruit character: Dijon 113, 115 and 667. One barrel of Pommard softens the cuvee, adding a bit of earth to the vibrant berry nature of this vintage. Please cellar this wine to allow full development of its many facets.
